Activated Charcoal is similar to common charcoal, but it’s made especially for use as medicine. To make activated charcoal, manufacturers uses either steam or chemicals to activate the charcoal, the process causes the charcoal to develop internal spaces or “pores.” These pores help activated charcoal “trap” chemicals. Activated charcoal is used in the emergency treatment of certain kinds of poisoning. Ultimately when creating Activated Charcoal you want fragments of the super molecule Buckmisterfullerene (C60) that has phenomenal absorptive capacities.
Be careful when using Activated Charcoal as it seems to get in everywhere, it can easily be rinsed off with water.
Because Activated Charcoal has the ability to absorb 500 times it’s weight in impurities it works great as a Skin Clearing Mask.

Simple Clearing Mask
What you need:
1 Teaspoon Activated Charcoal
2 Tablespoon Aloe Vera Juice
2 Tablespoons Rose water
1 drop essential oil to help clear the skin ( Organic Bergamot, Organic Rose Geranium or Organic Cedarwood Essential Oil.)
If you don’t have Rosewater or Aloe Juice substitute it with distilled or filtered water.
Directions
Mix everything together and apply a thin layer to your skin. Leave for 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly with water.
If your skin is very congested, the activated charcoal will bond with the impurities and get stuck in your pores, leaving small black spots on your skin.
Steam your face with hot water, or towel before and after to open the pores. Finish with a light exfoliator or peel on your face to ensure you get all the impurities out. The Rice flour exfoliant works well, try it!
Finish off with the Rose and Hyaluronic Acid Face Mist, and a serum or face moisturizer.

The Gel Liner
1 Teaspoon Activated charcoal
1 Teaspoon Pure Coconut oil
Mix together and you will find it creates a kind of a gel. Use a small paintbrush to apply to your eye lid.
The coconut oil makes it last longer on your face, but is not waterproof at all, so it will come off easily. Not recommended for any events that involves getting your face wet like crying out of happiness like at weddings.
Compact Liner (Bought from “Professional Make Up”)
I still prefer my charcoal compact cake eye liner. I have been using it since 15 years of age. They were not kidding when they said it can last up to 25 years… If you ever find one buy it!
It lasts long, doesn’t smudge and can be applied perfectly with a small paint brush.

As a teeth whitener
Put some activated charcoal with your toothpaste on your toothbrush. Brush and Rinse. Don’t do this more than once a week.
Remember to use toothpaste that doesn’t have fluoride, as fluoride is extremely unhealthy on it’s own and even worse when combined with aluminum (aluminum is the active ingredient in your roll on deodorant).
As a Hangover Cure – Really Works!!
1 Tablespoon of Activated Charcoal in water, drink up!
Drink this while or after consuming alcohol.
The Activated Charcoal helps to pull out some of the alcohol in your system.
Also drink some milk thistle the night before or the next morning to also alleviate a Hang Over.
